StarVie Raptor 2026 Plus — Review
The StarVie Raptor 2026 Plus is the best round control racket of the 2026 season by near-universal consensus. Marta Ortega Stupaczuk’s signature racket, redesigned with the Dynamic Star weight-adjustment system and a refined M-EVA Balance core, delivers exceptional placement, comfort and forgiveness across all court positions.
It is the round racket that proves you don’t need to sacrifice feel for performance — and the one that finally gives players a genuine alternative to the established control options from Adidas, NOX and Bullpadel.
Verdict
The Raptor 2026 Plus is StarVie’s finest control racket to date. The Dynamic Star system — which lets you swap between a 4.8g and 7.2g central insert to shift the balance point by ±0.6cm — means you are not buying a fixed racket but a platform you can tune. Start in the heavier configuration for more depth from the baseline; switch to the lighter one when you want faster net preparation.
The M-EVA Balance core is soft enough to be genuinely comfortable across long sessions, yet responsive enough to generate clean ball exit on volleys and lobs. The 3D Carbon texture on the face produces excellent topspin and slice, making it one of the most spin-friendly round rackets of the season. For left-side players, defensive specialists and anyone building a control-first game, this is the round racket to buy in 2026.

On-court performance
From the back
Where the Raptor 2026 Plus truly earns its reputation. The low balance and large sweet spot produce deep, directional groundstrokes with minimal arm effort. Off-center hits from the baseline come out with surprisingly good depth and height — the M-EVA Balance core absorbs the error and still generates a playable ball. For defensive lobs from the back wall, this racket is exceptional.
At the net
Fast and precise. The low balance means wrist preparation is quick and natural, making it excellent for reactive volleys and touch shots. Drop shots and angled blocks feel intuitive. The 3D Carbon face grips the ball cleanly for slice volleys, giving net players excellent tactile feedback.
Overheads
Functional but modest. The Raptor 2026 Plus generates enough overhead pace for tactical smashes and placement, but it will not produce the explosive force of a diamond. Bandejas feel natural and controlled. Flat smashes are adequate but not decisive. This is not the racket you choose to dominate with overheads — it’s the racket you choose to dominate with everything else.
Comfort & vibration
One of the most comfortable padel rackets of 2026. The M-EVA Balance core absorbs vibration effectively across all impact zones, and the round shape distributes shock broadly across the frame. Players with elbow or wrist sensitivity will find this particularly arm-friendly. High-volume players who train 4+ sessions per week will notice significantly less arm fatigue compared to harder EVA options.
Dynamic Star system
StarVie’s unique weight-adjustment technology. The central star-shaped insert is removable and swappable between two versions: 4.8g (lighter, lower balance — faster net play) and 7.2g (heavier, higher balance — more depth from the back). The ±0.6cm balance shift is subtle but perceptible after a few sessions. Unlike screw-based systems, the Dynamic Star swaps without tools — a genuine usability advantage.
Spin
Excellent. The 3D Carbon rough texture generates clean topspin on drives and reliable slice on defensive lobs. For a round racket, the spin ceiling is unusually high — better than most teardrop options at this price point.
